Exceptional Stay for a Family Wedding!
We had a fantastic experience during our stay. The delicious meal post-wedding was complemented by friendly staff who made everything easy, especially with kids around. Spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere was welcoming. For future guests, definitely ask about the hot meals. everything we had was beautifully prepared.

had an amazin stay at hazeldene hotel! the staff were super friendly and really made us feel welcome, especially daniel who was always smiling. meals were fantastic, we had beef burgers which were tasty and huge portions. the room was clean and comfy, perfect for a stopover close to the motorway. breakfast was delish too, freshly cooked and plenty to choose from!
the only downside was that the bed creaked a bit when we moved, and there wasn’t a hairdryer in the room which was kinda odd for a hotel.

If you're rolling with your pup, they've got decent arrangements for pets, which is a win in my book. The room had clean bedding and I snagged a solid night’s sleep—definitely a plus on a long journey.
The atmosphere had a cluttered vibe, with laundry just hanging out in the dining area next to dartboards, which isn’t exactly my idea of a suitable dining space. In the morning, breakfast had its fair share of disappointments. the hot options were merely warm, and the lack of basics like muesli or marmalade left something to be desired. Plus, prepare for some road noise if you're near the windows since they don't exactly filter out all the sounds of the outside world.

Got to chill in a cozy room and enjoyed a lovely breakfast spread that hit the spot! The outdoor patio was perfect for relaxing with a book and unwinding after a long day. Just wish the wifi was a tad faster, but it didn’t spoil my time. 😊

We enjoyed our stay with two teenagers. The outdoor patio was a fantastic spot to unwind after long days of exploring nearby attractions, and the dining options were a real treat—especially the beef burgers that everyone loved!
My kids wished for better soundproofing from the road noise.

The Double or Twin Room was decent, but kinda cluttered. There was a creaky bed that made it hard to move around without waking up. The hot water ran out halfway through my shower, which was a hassle. But, the decor was nice enough, just needed some updates. Oh, and the noise from the motorway was pretty noticeable, especially with the window open. It was hot, and I wished for some better soundproofing.

It was just a great fit for a temporary stay in Gretna with good value for money. The beds were comfortable, which is rare for budget places. Consider asking for a quieter room if you're sensitive to noise.
